Who we are, and who can use CyprusBites

CyprusBites is operated by IXXO Cart Ltd, registered in Cyprus. You may use CyprusBites if you are at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, and able to enter into these terms. Browsing, search, the map and group voting need no account. Saving places, writing reviews, requesting tables and the Bites Club need a free account.

What CyprusBites is, and what it is not

CyprusBites helps you discover places to eat and drink in Cyprus, matched to your taste, and helps you request a table and collect rewards for going. We are a discovery and booking assistant. We are not the restaurant, the kitchen, or the waiter.

Venue information (menus, prices, hours, photos, ratings) comes from the venues themselves and from public sources, and can change or be out of date. Always confirm anything that matters, such as opening hours, allergens, or a price, directly with the venue.

Reservations are requests we pass to the venue. A table is only confirmed when the venue confirms it. We do our best to relay requests and updates quickly, but we cannot guarantee that a venue will accept, honour, or keep a booking, and we are not responsible for the meal, the service, or anything that happens at the venue.

Recommendations and match scores are our honest opinion based on your preferences and a venue's own attributes. No venue can pay to rank higher or to change its score. A match score is guidance, not a promise about your experience.

Your account

Keep your password private and your details accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at help@cyprusbites.com if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time from You, then Delete account, or by emailing us.

Fair use

Please use CyprusBites for its purpose, and do not:

• break the law, or use CyprusBites to harm, harass, or defraud anyone;
• post reviews or content that is false, someone else's, hateful, or a paid or fake endorsement;
• make reservations you do not intend to keep, or abuse a venue's booking system;
• try to game the Bites Club, for example with fake check-ins or multiple accounts;
• scrape, copy, or resell our content, or interfere with the security or normal working of the service.

We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if these terms are broken.

Reviews and content you add

When you post a review, photo, note, or other content, you keep ownership of it, and you give CyprusBites a licence to show, store, and share it within the service to run and promote CyprusBites. You confirm the content is yours to post and does not break the law or anyone's rights. We may moderate, edit lightly for clarity, or remove content, and we show reviews under the name or nickname you choose in your privacy settings.

Bites Club and rewards

The Bites Club is a free loyalty programme. Points, called Bites, are earned and redeemed under the rules shown in the app. Points have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and are not your property. We may change how points are earned or redeemed, set or change how long they last, or end the programme, and we will give reasonable notice of a material change. Rewards depend on the venue offering them and on you meeting the reward's conditions. We may cancel points or rewards obtained through error, fraud, or a breach of these terms.

Prices, offers, and payments for diners

Browsing, searching, booking a table and joining the Bites Club are free for diners. Any prices, offers, or discounts you see belong to the venue and are subject to its terms and availability. Where a reward or offer has conditions, those conditions apply. Payments to restaurant owners for optional business tools are covered by separate business terms.

Third-party services

CyprusBites links to and relies on services run by others, including maps, sign-in providers, and message and payment providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the experience, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.

Our content and brand

CyprusBites, the CyprusBites name and logo, the software, the design, and the content we create are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive licence to use CyprusBites for your own, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, modify, or build a competing product from it.

App store terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply. For the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app in addition to these terms. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or for support, and, where these terms conflict with Apple's app-store rules, those rules govern that conflict. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Disclaimers

CyprusBites is provided as is and as available. We work hard to keep it accurate, useful, and running, but we do not promise that venue information is always correct or current, that a venue will accept or honour a booking, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a recommendation will suit your taste. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under the law that cannot be limited.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CyprusBites is not liable for the acts or omissions of any venue, for your experience at a venue, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to a reasonable amount, and in any case to what the law requires. This does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using CyprusBites and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service, and we will give reasonable notice where we can. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as content licences, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using CyprusBites after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
